Inked inscription on front fly-leaf from Richard Ellis, one of the foremost 20th century book designers, to John D. Gordon. Also included is Ellis' hand-written letter to Mr. Gordon discussing bookish issues. Book design by Richard Ellis and signed by him on the colophon page, with a Preface by Christopher Morley and photographs by Arnold Genthe. This handsomely produced book is printed on pale green paper with photogravure frontis and additional plate from Genthe's photos. An exemplary copy of the Arnold Genthe illustrated homage to Walt Whitman in Camden.
