Oblong small quarto (27 X 17-1/2 cm) in original printed wrappers with illustration of a seated young lady playing the accordion, and cloth spine. An introductory explanation of musical play including scales, tuning and repairing, transpositions &c., to which is added arrangements of songs, polkas, marches, waltzes, quadrilles and opera airs. Penciled notation of the keyboard on inside front and back covers. Covers darkened and stained, with 2" closed tear at back cover; edges chipped. Publisher's printed ad on rear cover. Music includes Arkansas Traveler and Annie Laurie to 'Tother side of Jordan, and Yankee Doodle. [Septimus Winner (1827-1902) was a Philadelphia born composer, teacher, performer and music publisher.
