1 JAKOVSKI, (Anatole) ARP, CALDER, HÉLION, MIRÔ, PEVSNER, SÉLIGMANN.
Paris Chez Jacques Povolozky Softcover
[n.d., c.1933-37]. 13.5 x 18cm; 47, (1) pp. in original printed wrappers. Designed by Hans Arp. Covers toned, with two small closed tears and chip from top corner (chip laid in). Illustrated with 12 b&w illustration plates of works by the artists listed in the title. Occasional light foxing. A noted French art critic, in the 1930's, Anatole Javovski (1909-1988), counted as his friends many of the artists of modern abstract and surreal painting in Paris. This monograph is perhaps the publication of the Exhibition Catalogue for this group which took place at the Gallerie Pierre, Paris in June, 1933. [The listings on OCLC for this title are confusing and perhaps miscatalogued.]
